Survival....
My wonderful friend Elaine is headed to Flat Rock with our girls 5th grade class for an overnight field trip. I know how nervous she is so I've put together a little something for her. I hope she doesn't read my blog before I can drive it over ; ) You'll do great E - no worries!
Labor Day Weekend
We didn't go any where for Labor Day but we still found time to cook out, hang out and be silly. We thought we'd play Myth Busters. We picked up Diet Soda and Mentos for what else a Diet Soda fountain!!! It was fun - amazing how high that stuff can shoot....
Next Weeks handout -
Okay so I've already made this weeks handout for YW lesson #25 Sabbath Day. The book suggest using a ruler but of course I had to put my own spin on it.
Busy Busy Busy...
Okay I'm trying to get ahead of the game! I created this handout for YW Manual 1 Lesson #24 Prayer and Meditation. I've had this stamp that says Handle with Prayer for ages. That phrase is used in a quote in the lesson so I thought it was a perfect fit. The girls also loved the real looking invites.

So behind..... Where to begin first....
Okay, I have a ton of ideas running around in my head. So WHEN do I find the time to make all these things come about! Please someone give me the answer....
I look through other blogs and find similar ideas to the ones I've had-so then I get discouraged - Why bother? Is what I'm thinking....
Maybe someday I'll be able to just create....when-ever, where-ever & how-ever long I want!!

Saying good bye is hard to do....
My good friend Juliana is moving back to Idaho :( I will miss her terribly! She has been a great example to me and all those around her. We have had some great times sharing "crafty" ideas. We've had some great times being with the Young Women. I will miss our weekly conversations about the Biggest Loser!
You may be gone but you will NEVER be FORGOTTEN! Lots of Luck!
Yummy Campfire....
So Girls camp is NEXT week!!! We have been working on our ward skit. So last week I decided to make this Yummy Campfire (idea came from the Family Fun magazine) to help get the girls in a camping mood. It turned out soooo cute and it was easy to do!

Still going to the Y...
Okay it's been a month and I'm still going!!! That in itself is a great sign. Still too chicken to get on the scales but I can feel things are different.....I feel stronger, feel better in general---here's hoping I can continue to keep it up!

Going to the YMCA...
Okay, my good friend Angi has been dragging me to the gym. She is a good friend because she inspires me to go even though I grumble and post mean things about her.
I'm not sure how long this kick will last. As with all my exercising attempts, it's all or nothing....I'm good for a while and then it all stops (for various reasons).
So stop in- check up on me, encourage me and even join me in my quest for better health.
We all need a little encouragement now and then right ;)

Something to think about....
Saw this the other day and LOVED it and wanted to share it with all of you.
Squeeze every minute out of life....
Someone asked me the other day if I had my life to live over would I change anything. My answer was no, but then I thought about it and changed my mind. If I had my life to live over again, I would have waxed less and listened more.
Instead of wishing away nine months of pregnancy and complaining about the shadow over my feet, I'd have cherished every minute of it and realized that the wonderment growing inside me was to be my only chance in life to assist God in a miracle.
I would never have insisted the car windows he rolled up on a summer day because my hair had just been teased and sprayed.
I would have invited friends over to dinner even if the carpet was stained and the sofa faded.
I would have eaten popcorn in the "good" living room and worried less about the dirt when you lit the fireplace.
I would have taken the time to listen to my grandfather ramble about his youth.
I would have burnt the pink candle sculptured like a rose before it melted while being stored.
I would have sat cross-legged on the lawn with my children and never worried about grass stains.
I would have cried and laughed less while watching television....and more while watching real life.
I would have shared more of the responsibility carried by my husband which I took for granted.
I would have eaten less cottage cheese and more ice cream.
I would have gone to bed when I was sick instead of pretending the earth would go into a holding pattern if I weren't there for a day.
There would have been more I love you's........more I'm sorry's.....more listening........ but mostly, given another shot at life, I would seize every minute of it....exhaust it......and never give that minute back until there was nothing left of it.....

SOOO Funny
Okay last night at dinner Kaylie was explaining to Mitch what she had for Breakfast. She was describing a Breakfast sandwich Chaia makes.
K: "Daddy, I had a breakfast sandwich like Chaia made me once."
M; "Really-what kind of sandwich does she make?"
K: " She cooks an egg and puts chees on it, then cooks a sausage patty and she puts it all on 2 pancakes."
M: "That sounds yummy"
K: "it's so good I almost PASSED OUT!"
We all busted out laughing....still makes me giggle when I read this.
I think I've had some chocolate cheesecake like that once ;)
